What you need
- Index cards numbered 0–20 (one per student, reusable — in the printable kit)
Setup
Print and hand out one number card per student (repeat numbers if you have more students than 0–20).
How to run it
- Give each student a number card and have them mix up their position in the room.
- On "go," students must arrange themselves into a line from smallest to largest number without talking above a whisper.
- Once lined up, walk the line together counting out loud to check the order.
- Shuffle and redistribute cards for a second round, this time timing how fast the class can line up correctly.
Variations
- Use cards with simple addition problems (3+2, 5+1) instead of plain numbers — kids solve their own card before finding their spot.
- Split into two smaller lines racing against each other for a bigger class.
